    Name: Radisson Blu Hotel, Bristol
Upgraded? Yes – from twin standard to what looks like Superior room Harbour View but required speaking at check in counter
    Lounge Access: No lounge
    Breakfast: Yes
Welcome gift: 2 bottles of water in room unless but don’t think it is a Welcome Gift
Notes: status not acknowledged at reception and when checking in the room they gave was what I booked which was a standard twin room. After going down to speak to staff they still didn’t acknowledge but said we can change to a harbour view room.

    Name: Radisson Blu Stansted
Upgraded? Yes from lowest category to Premium room (Business class room) looking over car park. They have runway rooms for standard and superior rooms.
    Lounge Access: No lounge
Breakfast: Yes but couldn’t due to flight departure time but they do offer a pre packed take out option.
    Welcome gift: 2 waters
Notes: Should’ve gone for the superior as would’ve liked to watch the planes and it’s very close to the airport like less than 5 minutes brisk walk to departures

    Hi All,

When do you usually find out if you have received a room upgrade?

Is it prior to day of check in or on the day of check in?

    We usually check in online.

    Thanks in advance!

depending on the hotel you’ll see the change on the app but most of the time for me it’s been at check in.

Just got a response from Radisson customer services following an email attempt to match Avolta platinum to VIP status.

They say they are no longer managing status matches centrally and any matches have to be done via a dedicated link controlled by the partner, so to contact Avolta for that link.

Frustratingly I don’t see any Radisson links on the Club Avolta app.

did you use the contact form on the website as found that better to use when status matching

Can anyone offer a preference for either Park Plaza Riverbank or Waterloo in London?
    Both same price

    Thanks

Haven’t tried waterloo but park plaza is okay with a tesco not too far and there is a lounge but not accessible for vip as there is a charge. breakfast can get busy and ideally if getting upgraded aim for a room with a balcony for the views.

It was always a dump while Park Plaza was always pleasant; so any Radisson loyalist would be nuts to stay there.

Unfortunately stayed there and your right it is a dump staff are friendly so wondering where they’ll be moved too

    Park Inn by Radisson, Cardiff

Membership was recognised at check in counter early check in granted from 10am

Upgrades? yes to a room with A/C (Staff mentioned that there are only 10 rooms with A/C and the rest have no A/C so you will need to request a desk fan)

    Lounge? No

Welcome gift? 2 bottles of still water.

    Late check out? Not required

(Restaurant closed for sitting in if you want dinner they only use the restaurant for breakfast and the room with A/C are the rooms that peek into the lobby. You’ll know what I mean when you get there)

Upgrades? yes from standard room to Junior Suite

Lounge? yes accessible for all VIP and is situated in a section of the 1st floor

Welcome gift? 2 bottles of still water.

    Late check out? 1pm

(The only negative would be the lifts since suites are on the higher floors and only 2 elevators available so you will be waiting for a while for your lift to arrive)

Breakfast – Self Serve continental breakfast and to be honest comparing this to others in the uk it is quite outdated

Upgrade? Yes, Art room King to Art Studio King (just one below suite)

Lounge? No (25th floor is currently an only guest lounge for now)

    Welcome gift? None

Breakfast – Self Serve continental breakfast (hot drinks poured by staff at table)

Hotel is fairly new with 26 floors and the 25th floor is currently an in guest lounge for small bites and drinks accessible for hotel residents but staff mentioned a new restaurant will launch in Q3/4 of 2025. But lately finding that all my stays don’t tend to have a welcome gift even when booking in advance even a welcome card.

Is there any way to find which EU radissons have lounges, even if its an old outdated text list or something lol. Looking thru the last few pages of posts on here, basically none of them seem to have one?

from what someone mentioned before is selecting on the filter “executive business lounge” on the filters to find out which hotels have it

Name: London Victoria Park Plaza Hotel
    City: London, UK
Upgraded? Yes, to a slightly larger room
    Lounge Access: Not offered
    Service: 5/10
    Overall rating for price: 4/10
Comments: Prepaid for an in-room extra, which never materialised. It took over three months and numerous phone calls and emails to recover the cost. I noticed yesterday that the stay has not registered in the app and no points were awarded (the stay was in late-January).
I will not be back to that or any other Raddision.

Had a similar incident where a stay didn’t register so contact via web form online and received and email in a day or two apologising and adding the stay onto the account and points too.

    Name: Radisson Blu
    City: Sheffield
Upgraded? Yes, booked base room and I appear to be in a Premium City View (highest category available), though no fanfare made about this at check-in so not 100%.
    Lounge Access: N/a
Breakfast: Yes, quite good it was too
Welcome gift: Two packs of cookies and a handwritten welcome card
Late checkout: 2pm, pushed my luck with 4pm but politely denied
    Stay duration: 1 night

Check in took all of 2 minutes – perfect. All the staff are lovely and I paid an outrageous £43 + 13000 points (I think the points knocked about £20 off). Very happy yet again to be a VIP.

The breakfast selection and location and view from this hotel I love better than my local in Brum.

Is this status match still live?

I carried it out for my partner over a week ago but her Radisson account hasn’t changed. There was no tile when I applied so I sent an email.

Still active check your spam folder too just incase and also send a ticket through the online website it took about 2 weeks for mine to go through successfully
