@JDB 469 on a rural connection is fabulous, you are very lucky. FTP is the latest thing, fibre to the property, we have FTC, fibre to the cabinet and a 1Gbps connection. The only problem is that I have a choice of one provider so no competition.

Sorry, meant .76 Avios per penny, 76 per £ which is shoddy.

My 500% shows at .76 if I select everything and 1.09 if I select only part.

It was almost certainly a proactive weather replan so highly unlikely that UK261 compensation will be due. As @AJA states, this doesn’t remove the requirement for right of care. Up to you whether you put a claim in.

    Faro or Funchal?

Make a note of dates and times if you can. Also, try to get something from the hospital with dates on, it may not be needed but would make things easier.

As an aside, I also value to the ability to export transactions in OFX format. I run a mini PC with windows and connect by Remote Desktop, I’m still using Microsoft Money 2004 because I haven’t found anything better!

Wishing Mrs S as a speedy recovery, what an awful turn of events.

I have the Gran Melia Iguaza booked for two nights in November. Red level half board flexible rate, website is USD 3442, my rate USD 2754 with the 20% code so it really does work.

I had very good IHG recognition at Sabila in Tenerife last January. The agent had to refer to a sheet of paper but full prestige level access was granted without asking.

@dadbod Apologies, I missed the comment that the Canaries was not an option.

Las Dalias is a cracking family oriented hotel, pitches at a certain budget and does it well.

I thought Apple TV was a benefit of the Premier bank account not the credit card?

@Colin-MacKinnon How was the South Atlantic? Also curious on St P, any specific insurance complications? Wouldn’t be an option for me being ex military but it’s a place I’ve always wanted to go.

I think some of the iPhone WiFi security does complicate the matter, rotating MAC addresses and suchlike.

I have the very same picture, taken on the same trip we did the NC500 which was between two Covid lockdowns. It was very quiet and we were able to take advantage of Eat out to Help Out a few times.

I used them in November when we had to come home early when my Dad deteriorated. They were fine, they asked for a no show letter from Scoot, not something I’d heard of before. Scoot were OK to deal with and Barclays paid up fairly quickly.

Slightly off topic, I recently needed to contact a Northern Based holiday company. They replied via WhatsApp within a few minutes, I needed to make a payment, they sent a secure form and it was done. Total time taken, 15 mins from start to finish with probably about 3 minutes of my actual time used. I accept the OPs situation is completely different but BA really do need to up their game. They are a bit like the NHS who are still using fax machines!

A MR transfer in Oct allowed me to boost last October. I assumed it wouldn’t be possible but it worked. Can’t promise it still will.

I remember a conversation on a flight to Thailand many years ago, it had the same effect on the way we now travel. Enjoy every minute of it, especially seeing your daughter.

I’d say it depends on what you have planned, there is nowhere nearby for cheap eats, mostly expensive chain restaurants in the arena. If breakfast isn’t included and you know you will be having 2/3 drinks each then I think you’d get your money back provided you can take full advantage of the lounge.

    Oops!

    January – Tenerife, 9 nights.
April – India, Sri Lanka, India, 32 nights.
    June – Lisbon, 7 nights.
    October – Malta, 7 nights.
November – South America, 32 nights including a Celbrity Flora Galapagos cruise.

I have to say thanks to Rachel for encouraging me to spend some of my pension now.
