@davestat That’s a long trip by coach, lovely spot though if the weather is clear. I’ve flown down Milford Sound and did a low approach to the airfield there, even though it was over 20 years ago I’ll never forget it. As a family we also drove there and took a boat trip.
South America specialists, two options from Buenos Aires to Quito, both with a stopover. Flight legs are 4:40 and 2:15 with a 1:25 layover in Lima, single ticket. BA using Avios in economy £80 plus 19000 Avios per person, or cash direct with Latam in PE for £324 each. Is the extra cost of PE worth it on this flight?

@Harrier25 😂 You’ve got me going round in circles.

I don’t know if you can check or whether it’s worth pursuing Rob, I did use your link but had all sorts of problems with the website. I ended up finishing the process on my phone.

@BSI1978 Have a look on Money Saving Expert, that’s usually up to date.

Just got home to find DPD had failed to deliver even though Mrs S was home and watching for them, they can’t have knocked very loud. The ironic thing is the delivery is a replacement doorbell!

I got to the bottom of my SriLankan seating confusion and to be fair to SriLankan their response by email would put most companies to shame, around 4 hours to reply. It appears two of the A320s are ex Royal Brunei and the seat map matches their current A320neo, three rows of business starting at row 6 and economy starting at row 21! Aerolopa don’t show this config but Seatmaps does.

@NorthernLass Don’t sweat about it.
Not accommodation related but check the ship schedule when booking. The hotspots will be absolutely rammed especially when more than one ship is in. Those days are pool days and late evenings out.

Very unlikely you can pay in Sterling, the hotel machine might offer conversion to Sterling but this will be significantly worse than taking the 3% hit.

Weird one for me today, went to check on my SriLankan flight from Mumbai to Colombo next month. I’ve been moved from row 2 to row 6, shorthaul business now shows rows 6-8 and seats A C H & K. This doesn’t match any seat plan I can see anywhere!

@BBbetter That’s why I only use IQAir.com, the official apps only go up to 500. Remarkably, today in New Delhi it’s only 127, unhealthy for sensitive groups, it’s set to get a little worse. In November it was almost twice as bad!

@Dragonlady Enjoy the colour and the chaos. Hopefully, you’ll be out of Delhi soon and into cleaner air?

@davefl I’d be OK with Revolut and a debit card product, nothing else until they get their UK licence though.

I applied for my birthday voucher recently, got a random email in German and have no idea how to access it?

@Lady-London Did you just edit that or were there lots of spelling mistakes, it came up as the latter and then my computer froze!

We went swimming off Kaikoura with a pod of wild dolphins, there were hundreds of them. I wonder if The Store at Kekerengu is still open, was a lovely spot for a coffee.

Good morning from London Tawn, comedy was good last night but I have to say dinner at Toklas was very average. Payment has appeared as Lightspeed POS Toklas, I hope I don’t have to chase Amex for the dining credit? Time for a HIEX breakfast, we used the last of Mrs S’s points last night from the days of Creation. Lowly gold for her now and that won’t last much longer.

At Tenerife South a couple of weeks ago they were peeling people who had already registered for EES into the same queue as people whose passports had failed. It was shambolic.
