Thanks for the number. All sorted by Avios in Warrington (still waiting for Aer Club to investigate). Apparently you can no longer have the same avios number in both your Aer Club (EI) and vueling (VY) accounts and my EI avios number had been assigned to VY only. I was told to create a new EI account(with a different password to my VY account) which I’ve done and have been issued with a new Avios number for EI. When logging in via avios.com depending on which password you use it will take you either to your EI or VY Avios account and balance.

Thanks for the number. Today I finally got to the bottom of the issue, but still not a word of help from Aer Club. I spoke with Avios in Warrington who suggested I creat a new Aer Club (EI) account. Up to now I’ve had the same Avios number for both EI and vueling (VY) which I’m told is no longer possible and my Avios number is now only valid for the vueling club. This still doesn’t explain why when logging in to Avios it clearly shows me as a member of the Aer Club in the top header!!. Anyway I now have a new avios account for EI with a new avios number. Whenever logging into avios.com I must use the password associated with each membership and this will log me in to the appropriate avios.com account EI or VY.

For 3 consecutive days I’ve tried to do a transfer nectar to avios. My account shows as linked but when I try to do a transfer it comes up with an error and asks me to verify. BA send me a 6 digit code but when entered it reverts back to showing an error saying verification has failed. Any suggestions and with whom should I speak, nectar of BAEC?

My Avios are still sitting with BC. Just spoken with BC who wasn’t aware of an issue, no alerts had been issued the BC team. The agent then tried to contact Avios, long long wait. After 20 mins of the agent trying to contact Avios, we decided to call it a day and the BC agent would raise as an issue and revert once an update had been received.

Looks like LGW-Islamabad is also stopping next week, last flight Tues 14 Jun. Unlike DOH, no switch to LHR with all connectivity to ISB showing via DOH. I wonder if the token daily MAN-LGW service primarily put in to feed ISB has a long term future, unless there’s a big push to sell connections MAN-LGW-Florida/Caribbean?
