So 2 trips both originating in London? What’s to stop people booking 3/4/5 holidays in 1 go using this logic?

I think they want to be able to search for the extra availability the voucher gives. You can only do it online when you have a voucher to redeem or by calling.

No matter. Mine activated ok.

I got the email an hour or so ago. I got the card about 45 days ago.
Haven’t tried to activate it yet. Last time clicked on a promo it said I wasn’t eligible as I’d recently had a free trial within so many days. If I’m not eligible still can I not just set up a new Apple account to use it on.mickeym 52 posts
How is the Apple TV sub meant to be communicated? Only got my card a week ago so haven’t bother to investigate it yet
I’ve had my card just over a month. I think I remember seeing somewhere say there’d be an email about it within 90 days. I haven’t had anything yet.

The recent (now finished) enhanced Barclaycard Avios Plus offer of 35,000 Avios also includes 12 months of Apple TV. You will find the very easy sign up link to this in the app.
Any hints on where exactly? I can’t see it anywhere.
I had read you get sent a link within 90 days of opening. I’m at 40ish.17th January 2026 at 13:36 in reply to: Can you get more reward points by paying your card early?mickeym 52 posts
Good to know. I think it’s the virgin one that caps it at your credit limit.

I’ve just had a voucher for City Vineyard in NYC credited too. Purchased 15/01 and credited 17/01.
Wish I’d seen that one. It says the gift card can be used at any location.

My rosemarys credit has now shown up. Original transaction was on the 12th.

@JDB, thanks for the info. I was just basing my thoughts on the extra allocation from a previous experience (admittedly on a BA flight) when I called up and managed to get 4 seats when using another 241 when only 2 Club seats were showing as available. If Iberia only have 2 seats available for Avios/241 then it probably scuppers this trip!
Next stop is giving BA a call I guess to see what the options are.
Thanks again for your reply.
Had you searched online (and selected the voucher) before calling BA? As It shows the “extra” availability with BA flights when searching online with a voucher.

150k. The voucher is worth “up to” 75k for red members. Not a straight 75k.
You’re doing a bogof at 50k. Then 2 other tickets at 50k each.16th January 2026 at 12:13 in reply to: Platinum Dining Credit – purchase abroad vouchers from UK?mickeym 52 posts
Just to add another data point – I purchased a gift card for Rosemary’s a few days ago (Jan 2026) via their website and it has not credited. When I contacted Amex on live chat, they said the transaction had been made online so wasn’t eligible. I’ve said that the transaction details show the address transaction as New York so should be honoured, they’ve said they’ll look into it. So it looks like they’ve closed off this route. Anyone else had recent experiences?
Ok good news, mine seems to have credited (is showing on the savings tab as that) and £100 should be coming in tomorrow. Just took longer than usual I guess!
Same here. My Ivy one has shown up and Rosemarys is in the savings tab.

I’ve got one for rosemarys and one for the Ivy (in person gift card) not credited yet. Both transactions on the 12th Jan.

Refer your partner for gold, use that for a year. Then they refer you for BAPP and spend the £15k for voucher, then you refer them for a BAPP. Bingo, you both have companion vouchers to use for the 4 of you.
Slightly confused on I would get 4 companion vouchers?
I didn’t think Gold gives you CV?
2 vouchers to use for 4 people.

I used it in October with a gold card I’d had for 5 months. Bonus posted automatically a couple of weeks ago.

It’s even worse than that. VS now vary the tax/charges depending on how many points that you pay. So non-saver (i.e. higher) points and you pay even more in fees.
That’s actually been a positive change since the move to dynamic pricing. The max taxes/fees now are what the set prices were before the change. Throwing some saver rates on them is a bonus. I’ve paid £700 for upper return where as before it was always £1000 or so.

Semi related question. Is it allowed to hold both?

It didn’t change when I downgraded.
Are you eligible for the sign up bonus when upgrading? I didn’t think you were.mickeym 52 posts
You’ll get a letter from Amex saying you have a balance and ask to call to get it transferred.
With the points I had a large 20k odd negative balance during Covid, cancelled and it’s never showed up on any future cards.27th December 2025 at 12:44 in reply to: Expiring Reward voucher – book and cancelling for points?mickeym 52 posts
When cancelling they’re supposed to cancel the flight, add the points back, take back the voucher points, unexpire the voucher. In my experience most don’t do steps 3 & 4. Some don’t do step 3 but still do step 4, which is extra nice.

For Personal cards it’s 4.

Just purchased one for Rosemarys. I used the safari browser on my iPhone, credit card, with the numbers from my postcode as the zip code with 000 after. Went through straight away.

Yeah there’s lots of restrictions with it and I’m yet to see someone with one onboard. We never bothered as it was only a select few car seats that were allowed. The window seat rule is a thing that I remember though. I’m really surprised they let you do it, as you should’ve bought a seat for it.

It’s almost as if they want to make it as difficult as possible for you to actually use the voucher….!
Is it though? As per the above, you select the voucher and search. The fact it then gives economy and premium as the options is pretty self explanatory?
