I’d go through all sorts of options in my head. From getting out my own Bluetooth speaker to compete with their noise, to asking the parents if they’d like to borrow some headphones.

But in reality I’d probably complain to my husband, who would be carrying on blissfully oblivious to surrounding noise, who would then suggest we move so as to stop my complaining.

Avis does I think if you select the pay on collection rate.

@BAFlyer there used to be. But I don’t think they can get the data any longer to put the chart together. It was on Speedbird.

I call bull**** on simonjones being a premier card holder, or having any insider knowledge.

The last little windup from him was about companion vouchers being removed from BA accounts, and there’s nothing in his post history that suggests prescience.

    Nice try.

Was the £2500 transaction in a store?

Which station does she think the skimming took place at? If you really think there’s a skimming machine there, you need to contact the police, as she’s unlikely to be the only victim.

Thank you! He does fly quite a bit with his parents, but taking him somewhere is actually a great idea. They’re not far from Gatwick, so I’ll have a look at destinations. I had thought perhaps Madrid, on one of the flights that uses a wide body plane as he’d love going in business, but that’s from Heathrow.

I’ll have a look at simulator experiences too.

I quite liked the Voco St David’s. Pool and spa is decent.

Thanks @memesweeper.I have called them. My details are all correct and there are no concerning transactions. I don’t think this is a fraud issue. I think it’s a BA IT competence one.

I’m now getting the following message when trying to log in to BA

Check your preferred one-time password application for a code.

My preferred application was email, because I had issues with changing the number for 2FA from a number I don’t use anymore. But I now appear to be completely locked out of my account. Anyone else?

@LittleNick Yes I did a few months ago. They extended an expiring one for 2 months as I said I had a forthcoming stay that I wanted to use it for.

I applied on the day it was first publicised here. Very shortly after, I got the request for documents but have been too busy to respond. I completely forgot about it it in fact, until yesterday I got an email saying my status had been matched.

I had the same issue with Aeromexico flights. Got the Virgin number added on at airport check in. Couldn’t do it online at all.

All a matter of taste, I suppose. I love Marseille. The city is interesting – not just an overly sanitised tourist town. Interesting streets to wander round in Le Panier (just at the back of the IC), with nice bars and restaurants. The old port itself is quite lively, but it’s the most tourist orientated part, with the restaurants and bars to match. And it’s just on the edge of the calanque national park, with great walking, some lovely coves for swimming, or cycling if that’s more your thing.

I really liked the IC there, too.

Also worth thinking about how many avios you have and what you are aiming to be able to redeem them for.

If you’re happy with annual redemption to Europe in economy then stay with what you’ve got if you collect enough points annually for that.

If you have aspirations to use them long haul in club or first then you’ll need a decent stack of avios. Paying for the premium BA Amex may not be worth it initially if you can’t make use of the voucher while you’re accumulating the avios.

I mean I tried the number from my phone and neither the UK or EU number would connect. I’ve now used the US number which did connect.

It’s for a confirmable suite upgrade voucher. Have had difficulty every time I’ve tried to redeem one. Had a look at the threads on here, and people referred to having had success via the Diamond support number. But I can’t make the published number work.

@johnny Are you in a household account, and might the avios have been added to one of the other members of that account?
