Waiting six months for the refund of a fully flex economy return which was upgraded to business using Avios + waitlist. The Avios were returned by a chat agent after some months, but there is no sign of a refund to my Amex. Not impressed at all.

When is this for?
Thurs 13 March. I can see some availability on the 19:50 a week later, so perhaps I was too hasty in my conclusion. I was just surprised that they went from fully open to no availability so suddenly.

How long does it take for the credit to post? I purchased a reward flight online on Sunday 27 Oct… still no credit on Friday 1 Nov.

@johnny Are you in a household account, and might the avios have been added to one of the other members of that account?
Oh that’s an interesting suggestion; I wasn’t aware of being in a HH account and my OH scarcely uses theirs.

Or a BAPP spend x in x months for 10k Avios retention offer?
No retention offers or spend challenges.

Have you complained about any onboard issues lately, or had any recorded for you by the crew? 10k is a quite usual Avios Adjustment for some service delivery cockup…
No complaints open.

Not sure I understand your routing though
Sorry, typo, LHR-MAD-LHR
is there still award space on the second leg ?
Just checked it, yes there is. I’m surprised because the cabin seat map is more than 50% allocated.

So this section of the Oneworld rules appears to cover it. Any idea if they follow their own rules?!
Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights:
First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).
Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight.johnny 33 posts
@johnny please let us know what hapoens with Wizz
Update:
Our claim was eventually resolved after 11 months. Wizz instructed ADR they wished to defend the claim, but provided no further evidence or communication of what that defence could have been. The adjudicator found in our favour, and accepted our detailed itemisation of expenses. While I was initially told that Wizz would make payment within 14 days of the decision, it ultimately took 60 days for my Monzo to rattle. That was a joyous moment indeed. If others happen upon this thread, stay the course and you will get compensated eventually.
I would quite like my interest on 3k for 11 months, but that’s another matter !

20th August 2022 at 07:48 in reply to: Awarded Avios for cancelled Booking.com bookingsjohnny 33 posts
Hotels.com made a claw back at t+90 days after my cancelled stay. Makes you wonder why they award points on cancelled stays in the first place. I guess somebody could run up a large Avios deficit if they were so inclined, especially at promotional earning rates (8-12 per £1).
