You cannot use the BA Amex companion voucher on Iberia site.

Same here, Mrs Yorkieflyer and I both have paper statements switched off but they still arrive! Interesting what absolute crap Barclays are and I wonder how many will stay after they’ve argued the toss as to where their Avios are, bound to happen!
I’m not going to be staying. It’s been a 💩 show for me. I’ve had paperless switched on from the beginning, but I’m not receiving them at all. I get the email every month that a statement is ready, but when I log in nothing. Spoke to someone on chat and they said they can’t see them online either. Their solution was to post me the statement or call some other department to get it fixed (which I can’t be bothered). Additionally, I haven’t been receiving the £5 credit for Dual Rewards. So I complained and they were very apologetic – credited me £25 (for 5 months) + £25 as an apology. And guess what – another month passed and no £5 credit again. I don’t know if my account is completely messed up, but I’m not positive the 100k avios will post without fighting…

I’m thinking for my next trip of avoiding LAX and maybe flying into Las Vegas thinking they will be nicer as it’s a party city!
Don’t bother if that’s the only reason. I flew to LAS a few months ago, and not only I was asked for a return ticket and tons of other questions, but also the immigration officer wanted to see my UK residency permit (I’m an EU citizen living in the UK). I had a really hard time convincing him there are no UK ID/residency cards. Luckily I had working data so was able to dig out 3 years old email confirming my settled status. I had no issues at LAX a few weeks ago and was straight through. It has nothing to do with the airport, but rather to who you bump into.

I’ve just read the other day, that QR don’t have the same policy as BA on not checking through bags. I know someone who got bags checked through from QR (SIN-DOH-DUB) on to BA (DUB-LCY) on separate bookings. So I’d imagine it should be fine. Unfortunately, I don’t have a link to the policy.

I don’t even know what my statement dates are – that annoys me even more. I’ve had the card for 4 months and haven’t received a single statement. The CS offered me to post all four statements to my address but they don’t know why I’m not getting them (they confirmed they can’t see them either)…

Thanks Richie. Could anyone remind me of the distance rule about alternative airports where you can rebook – is it within 300 miles?
There is no 300 mile ‘rule’ it was a BA concession. The current BA guidelines are here:-
And as per the guidelines, Option 7 “Reroute to an alternative gateway within 300 miles radius of the original point of origin or destination”

“There is only one exception. Certain elite Gold Guest List members of British Airways Executive Club can gift Gold and Silver status to friends. If you receive status in this way you will not receive a soft landing and will drop straight back to Blue.”

How does it differ from when you get taken picture before entering security and then at the gate? Noticed it during covid when wearing mask and flying domestic once. No ID or passport required either.

Not sure about Bronze, but with Silver/Gold you can just login to IB website with the PNR and although it shows the prices for the seats, you can actually select them and not pay. They stick. Done this myself many times, usually on the app, so worth giving it a shot…

When is your flight? Why don’t you login to your booking to see the seatmap and the aircraft you’re flying? From a quick look, that flight usually has 772 and 773ER. However, row 26 sounds like pretty high number to be a business class seat on Qatar.

What about Amex points?
Have you seen the article https://hfp2026mar.kinsta.cloud/2022/09/30/value-of-club-eurostar-points/ ?

That’s both Terminal 5 if I’m not mistaken – 90mins is plenty of time. You’ll be fine. And if not BA will put you on the next flight and provide accommodation if it’s next day.

Yes, a ticket for a show is required as you can then enter the arena directly from there. If there’s no show, the lounge is not open.

Similar issue with trying to book BA Holidays with flight+hotel or flight+car from MAN. Individual flights are available but try booking them as a package to get them on the same booking for double TP and it says no flights available for many MAN-LHR-XXX routes.
Or if it does actually price the route you end up with anything from 5-11 hours or an overnight layover despite there being more convenient flights.
Have you tried adding them as a separate legs? Instead of MAN-LHR-XXX, try MAN-LHR and then LHR-XXX as a multi-city option. That should let you combine all the flights to your convenience.

It’s been a while. But if I remember correctly, there was a 5k HfP bonus. Which was posted directly to your BAEC account. Just checked mine and I got it under “Finance Card:
Barclaycard Avios Plus Award” if that’s what you mean?27th August 2022 at 10:21 in reply to: Rebooking cancelled connecting leg LHR-ARN-BKK – Avios bookingJacob 223 posts
Yes, EU261 kicks in. You had an involuntary cancellation. You can choose more convenient flights for you now (even a different date). There doesn’t have to be Avios seats available. You can be rebooked to the same cabin in any fare available fare class.

It’s indeed unfortunate. I had a few posts like this. I post less often now because of that. Especially frustrating when it happens in the daily chat and the post gets approved when it’s the next day or doesn’t even get released because it’s no longer relevant.

Interesting, what reason they’re giving you that Avios posted but not TPs?

Check your account and statement. What are the latest transactions and your current tier points balance? Were there some tier points posted with a delay maybe? Is your actual account updated to Bronze or it was just an email which could have been sent in error…
Jacob 223 posts
If there are no seats in the chosen cabin (i.e. it’s fully booked), then no, you can’t change to that unless you want to accept a downgrade to economy where seats are available.
You can fly day earlier, but you won’t be able to claim for the extra night.
You didn’t say the exact date, but you could also considering flying from LCY (if seats available and there are flights).
