I opted to downgrade to free – I don’t see value in the Radisson rewards and I don’t need lounge access. I’m waiting to see what happens in June with conversions for free users – I’ll upgrade (begrudgingly) if that doesn’t come about.

I cancelled mine in response to the issues, but have sheepishly gotten it again – purely with the route out to Hilton it’s worth the £160 to me and if I can then use the points for flights that’s a bonus. Plus, with Nationwide at the helm I’m interested to see where the card goes – they don’t exactly have a history of running reward cards.

I buy my Apple products from Costco online – for a nominal web membership fee they’re (in my experience) always the cheapest place to buy everything from iPhones to AirPods.

@Kuestrian how do you get on with installing the SIMs? The guides suggest scanning a QR code from a different device which seems unnecessarily difficult vs Airalo with a one click installation.

This is a good opportunity but the various LNER offers on Amex/NatWest/MBNA/Barclaycard are worth using if you have them available.

I’m not sure if its just me but I think the VT Ticketing app is a bit crap – I used it for a while and then went back to Trainline because even with the booking fees its a much smoother booking process. Perhaps I’ll give it another go.

I can’t see that anyone has replied to this yet – but when we got back there were queues of taxis waiting for the boat to unload. We were far from the first off and there was still no wait for a taxi to the airport. We’ll be staying in the hotel opposite this time around though and adding a couple of extra nights on.
