thanks both. BTW anyone managed to update their saved payment card on the new BA Club site? i was on chat yesterday and the agent ended up saying “not all areas on the new site have been updated, but confirmed that my card was still there”

Hi, i managed to do a status match with RJ (to silver) using my Radisson status yesterday. and changed the FF number on my BA avios booking via fiji this morning. the RJ number shows on my booking on BA now. But wont know if i can choose my seats 7 days in advance till next year when the flight is !

Thanks all for the input. I agree it is unfortunate that she went ahead and booked but was desperate to get home for various reasons.
For clarity the flights were as follows (i mixed up timings in my original post!)
Original : 19/1/25 18:50 JFK departure – cancelled at 01:00 20/1/25
Flight booked by daughter: 20/1/25 08:05 JFK departure
BA offered auto rebooked flight with AA: 20/1/25 19:00 JFK departuremy understanding is that the next available flight should have been rebooked by BA automatically?
will follow up with BA and see what happens!

Reality is that this is a 1st world problem. My partner only wants old CW because facing each other is great from her perspective. For most people on this forum the avios or companion voucher is the feeling of getting something for a discount, even though I suspect most could just pay! I fall into this camp so Club suite vs old CW makes no difference

Been turned down twice for barclaycard. Not sure of their criteria? So just use amex and capital on tap for business and allows me to accumulate avios quite nicely. Ba store has been great for Xmas purchases too. Have the annual avios subscription which renews at the original rate. So figure it’s barclays loss !!

I booked CW to Mauritius for this october online using Amex companion.
Had the avios to be able to book the return online too 10 days later.1st call i made to the BA Silver line the agent told me i couldnt have the refund in avios, as i hadnt followed the correct process, and therefore was tough luck
called a few days later and got through to the UK centre and she refunded straightaway, amazing that different agents dont have the same understanding, especially on the exec club lines as you would expect it to be a fairly common request!
