Thanks! I think the only way to tell if it is a debit is if it says visa debit on the terminal when you use it in store.

I’ve had this UX issue with the bonus before, but I always receive it. Similar to the HSBC card, they do these bonuses pretty regularly so it’s always worth waiting for.

Having a play around with the free version of zilch at the moment. Can someone with the paid version tell me what Argos cashback is? Also is the physical card a credit or debit card? Virtual seems to be credit.

I’m in the opposite situation. Want to downgrade and the £100 dining hasn’t posted after being used last week. We all know this can take a while but will downgrading mean it will never post?

I’ve had this issue and came to the conclusion that it was ghost availability. Other hotels / room sizes worked.

Same. Are the offers on the same page?

As you suspected it was fine. Odd that they are so relaxed about this sort of thing (where they had me over a barrel) but a nightmare about refunding me some incidentals.

Looks like there is yet another 20% transfer boost on when transferring to avios.

I’m not seeing this. Did it finish?

Take a look on the BA transfer page within the Revolut app (RevPoints-> Miles -> British Airways). On mine, there is a note at the bottom in small text “Transfer points and redeem them on eligible flights. Get 20% bonus on any transfer until 2025-11-30”.

I also had a notification, and there is a message in my inbox (within the app). Terms are here: https://www.revolut.com/legal/revpoints-avios-promotion/

I took 100k+ out, and it applied the additional 20% no problem.

Thanks. Easy to miss it isn’t on the executive club page. I also didn’t get an email.

And 10x in British airways. Beware it drops to 2x after one purchase so make sure you don’t book the wrong dates like I did.

So, not really anything to see here other than a pretty decent overseas spending card, or a good option for those with a low income/bad credit record. Am I missing something?

I got mine in April when they also had an offer. Not optimal when it comes to achieving platinum and I’ll likely not make it.

Anyone know if I can stack two subscriptions?

Curve debit also didn’t work for me so I used nationwide. It’s credit cards only according to the blurb.

I get Revpoints when I use Revolut as a backup fund source with Curve.

    ingenious!

Data point: no Revpoints by using Revolut as a backup fund source.

That’s what I’m banking on by holding off for now!

Isn’t your problem with Opodo rather than Marriott? It’s up to them to fix it for you, not Marriott.

Essentially yes I need to go through Opodo, but I would have thought that the major OTAs will be pushing Marriott for a resolution that does not leave them short changed.

    Datapoint:
A friend was offered a heavily discounted upgrade to a local Sheraton. This was through trip.com, he reached out proactively. I have not made an attempt yet.

Trip/marriott reneged on this and offered a hostel dorm bed. I kid you not.

I’ve got an email from marriott telling me that my opodo booked room will not be honoured. Nothing from opodo yet. It’s going to be tricky finding a new room for a fair price!

Did you prepay? If so, it’s a bit easier to make it Opodo’s problem to book a suitable alternative and pay any difference if applicable.

I did. Guessing this might be a fight but we will see.

Like others in I’ve had the rate ‘change’ before the money hits my card but I’ve always got them to honour the original rate if I speak to (human) customer service.

Tracking reliability is not perfect on par with amex or topcashback, but unlike the latter two, never have had to spend much time challenging tracking issues.

    Yep, I have aegean now.

I appreciate the negativity around Revolut, and I’m not ignoring it – I would never make it my main bank account. But it’s difficult to get away from the fact that Revpoints is a great product. It is by far my biggest points earner via shops (a small Waitrose shop earned me over 1000 miles the other day), and 1 convertible currency point per pound spend is far from terrible. I’m strongly considering ditching Amex Platinum as I don’t really need both, and I feel it is the stronger product. The other benefits of Revolut Ultra cover 75% of the fee in my view, so it doesn’t take long to break even.
