If you have had the card for 6 months you can request an increase in the app.
Im not sure about about moving credit limits between cards.

Morning all. Has anyone used a Hilton Be My Guest certificate? I’m expecting one in the next few weeks and eager to lock in my booking as I understand it requires standard room availability. I’ve followed the instructions on the Hilton website, but when I untick the “points” box, it just goes to an error message. What am I doing wrong?!
Not sure I follow.
If there is a standard room for points, you just then book the same room as a flexible rate room. You then give the receptionist the be my guest certificate who will recharge your booking to whichever hotel you complained about. It’s likely to be brand specific, ie if Hilton hotel issued it you must book a Hilton and not a Conrad, WA etc

Mine too, just tried to withdraw, I transferred the money in from Chase. Guess what, they don’t list Chase as an electronically verifiable bank! Update, Chase is an option on the website but still required manual verification.
If you send them a message they will automatically do it. They said Chase doesn’t support open banking, I told them they do and they verified it.

Has anyone who has reached Gold had any success in getting the 1.2-1.5x points value at checkout? I’m still seeing only standard 1x. PP have been investigating it but haven’t replied.
Also not clear if the 1000 points for first Friday of month checkout has applied. Nothing to suggest it has triggered for me.
It’s now changed again to coming soon. Breach of terms from PayPal?
You get an email when 1000 or 2000 bonus points have applied per month.

Are you still covered if you left them outside on top of a mountain unsecured while enjoying a drink? A friends insurance wouldn’t pay up when this happened. Would recommend a Retractable Wire Combination Lock

Great entertaining report. Happy you had a great time.
A couple of tips maybe for next time which works for us as a family:
Don’t hire, grab Lyft or Uber. So much easier, faster and cheaper, vehicle is already cold on pickup.
Get supermarket food delivered to your hotel, saves dragging the kids there.
Avoid Disney food, small cool bag with a couple of cold cans and some meat (and sandwich bag of some ice). Sandwiches/wraps/bagels make them up in the park. Free Ice water in the parks, just ask.
Retire to a water park/hotel pool when you have had enough, return later when refreshed and cooler.15th December 2025 at 22:16 in reply to: New PayPal Rewards debit and credit cards launchedbigmaggot 62 posts
Is anyone else having this issue? I’m trying to apply for the debit card. It keeps saying ‘my account is not eligible’. I finally managed to get hold of Pay Pal via web chat and they advised it because i’m using a VPN? I’m not, well at least to my knowledge. I’ve never installed one, I use an iphone, ipad and windows PC that i’ve never installed a VPN on. My Virgin route also doesn’t have one as a standard setting (according to Vrigin). I’ve also been a Pay Pal ‘customer’ since 2004. Any ideas??
I had this, it was a random 00 business telephone number on my account that was causing the error. Telephone support had no idea when I spoke to them. Double check your details are correct. You could also Google what is my ip address, it will tell you the country and if it’s Apple IP

Nothing turned up here!
I’ve had nothing from Amex, however speaking to Amex the offer is on for all. I’m £3k away from £400 credit! Thanks who raised this

Can someone please explain how to redeem the points. I’ve tried using PayPal on an online merchant and I don’t get a pay with points option…I have 700 of the new points from using the debit card.
Checkout using PayPal and the option should be there to use points

Should one foresee any issues using the Abroad Dining Benefit on 2 Jan 26?
Only asking as it wasn’t available for some days after 1 Jan 25, but this was possibly due to Amex changing structure of UK/Abroad dining benefits then?
Who knows, but you are right it took them a few weeks last Jan for the offer to appear.

Different MR accounts do exist. I had them once I had a Business and Personal card together. I had to contact AMEX to get them merged. Rob has 2 MR accounts as well if I’m not mistaken. So, whatever is the AMEX algorithm, there are some exceptions. I am just suggesting options to increase the odds in OP’s favor. Since the current one is a Business Plat card, I would strongly recommend applying for a Personal one next.
That happened to me recently, applied for business Amex. The MR accounts were merged automatically!
yes because why would they merge a company MR points with a personal MR balance from the get go, duh13th November 2025 at 12:42 in reply to: New PayPal Rewards debit and credit cards launchedbigmaggot 62 posts
I’m not eligible apparently. Personal PayPal account, never had any issues, never used PP credit. Just getting an error message every time I try to get the card: ‘You are not eligible. Thank you for your interest’.
I’ve had my PayPal account since 2008 and also not eligible. Spoke to support by chat who say my accounts not verified, uploaded docs and verified. Still not eligible, apparently if I give it a few hours it should sort itself out. Strange as I heavily use PayPal so not sure why a debit card is flagging my account now
