Yes I am the same, downgraded to bronze from November 30th. I read earlier threads from April time that people said on here I would keep silver till April 2026

Thank you so much for your reply John. For the Amex it says spend on your card with BA and a star symbol which when you click on says bonus earn. So it looks like I have spent £8700 and will get 80k avios. Never been anywhere near that before. The IB elite has disappointed me as it looks as though I will have to spend another 15k€ to get the status I want. I will research other schemes, maybe Royal Jordanian?
Thanks Cats, spent the last few hours reading all them posts. The Royal Maroc one is supposed to be the only one that works but it didn’t for me. It seems the best way is to just ring BA and get them to do it. If I want to book a BA flight in the future how do I credit it to my Iberia loyalty program beforehand or do I ring BA later and change it

Thanks for the replies and tips.

Just looked at the website. I’m flying with Iberia which is the south terminal I think. Looks like there is no AA at that terminal.

By way of update I did indeed receive the silver status for the return leg. The trip started so well, I was given a free upgrade to business on the way out to NY. Great trip all round. Thanks for your replies

Thank you for the replies. I live in Jersey so it’s Jersey-Heathrow- NY and back. Whole journey is 200 points all on BA. Between April 24 and March 25 I will probably be around 300 points so I’m assuming from what you guys have said I will be silver till November 25 and then bronze between November 25 and April 26
Booked using ba reward hotels. Staying at the Evelyn hotel. It was £100 cheaper than Expedia. Got 8k avios as it was a reward deal and by using my BA Amex with get some more avios. Just don’t see how these buying direct with say Hilton is worth it
Thanks CarpalTravel, for the hotel, trips, shows I’m booking before I go with Amex. When there Revolut for meals etc. what I’m after is a hotel deal using Amex say at a certain Hilton hotel ( or IHG) and you get this this and this as a perk. Otherwise I’ll take a punt at an Expedia non brand hotel. Thanks for the tip, south of Times Square.
Thanks Richie, im after a deal/ Amex offer that we get over here, but for New York. Like the Fine Hotels thread today but for New York. Does that make sense?

My avios transfered from my American Express yesterday. Because of the 100 points by spending over 15k I became bronze today on BA so in answer to the question really quickly.
On that can someone help me please. I put in the date range 21/11/23 to today on my American Express statement page and at the bottom it says
Payments and credits £21354
New charges £17659
Total -£3694So how much have I spent in this date range, 21k or 17k?
If it’s 21k why didn’t I get the extra 50 points?
Thanks in advanceAlanMac 23 posts

Hello All, I’m pretty new to all this but think Head for points is pointing in the right direction each time with help from you the forum guys. I’ve looked through the forums and read today’s Accor story and can’t really find the answers I’m after, sorry. Not even sure I’m in the correct thread ha ha.
I’m booked an Easyjet holiday to Rixos SEAGATE in Sharm for Feb half term. I paid £2600 for me and the Mrs. I have joined the Accor scheme starting at Classic level. I can’t find out how I put this holiday on my Accor account as it’s Easyjet, can I do that? If I can at say reception when I check in will I get anything straight away? Room upgrade etc or isn’t this stay worth enough to just go up one level. I’m assuming about £800 is flights so about £1800 for the room. How many points is that? My real aim is trying to get a late check out as I have a night flight out. Is there anything I can do prior to help me do this? Thanks in advance
