VS is 40 on the 22nd June, and with it comes some changes to onboard and ground service for those flying in June (with some things rolling throughout the year).
**In-flight**
* the Virgin Redhead cocktail, which is a mainstay of the Clubhouse, has become a permanent onboard addition (albeit canned, not fresh). Free, of course, in Upper, and chargeable in Premium and Economy.
* Where Mile High Tea is served ex-UK (which is most flights – can’t think of one on VS metal where it wouldn’t be), then there’s a new menu for June, with a glass of sparkling wine in Premium and Economy and the Redhead cocktail in Upper.
* You can now order a Bottega VS 40th anniversary prosecco from Retail Therapy.
**Clubhouse**
* A new cocktail launches – The Maiden Voyager – which is a twist on a Woo Woo, aptly named after “Woo Woo” (G-VIRG) which operated LGW-EWR.
* Birthday cake
* New beer, from a Wimbledon-based brewery
* LHR has a showcase of historic uniforms (which I hope they keep in the Clubhouse, to be honest).
You missed the bit where a pile of journalists are flown to Las Vegas for a weekend of partying ….
Will there be a HFP report?!
I don’t understand the appeal of Bottega, it’s massively overpriced for prosecco.
Depends if Rhys makes it back!
The boss man has offered us an exclusive interview so it could be interesting.

Weiss or Branson?
I haven’t flown VS since 2019. Are they charging for drinks in Premium and Economy these days??
No charges for alcoholic drinks in economy or premium, unless you want the champagne/prosecco that you can pay for.

I equally missed the long-standing Gold party 😉
But, having recently counted that I have done Vegas (properly, by all accounts!) north of 30 times, I’m quite happy with a break 😉
