Hey. Can you double upgrade Virgin reward flights? I booked an outwards ticket to Seoul and got a relatively good deal in premium, which I upgraded with a reward voucher, but now need to book the return once flights are loaded next week. For context, my return date is relatively fixed, at best a day either side, and I have another reward voucher to use.
At the moment prices in premium and upper class seem to be relatively high on release, but there are some saver fares appearing in economy. I’d obviously rather not fly economy, but wondering if it’s worth bagging a reasonable points fare, and then wait / hope for the other classes drop. If I do this, can I upgrade two classes should the opportunity arise? For example, spend points to jump up to PE, and then use the reward voucher up to UC (or the other way around depending on what has the bigger points difference).
Of course if everything comes out sky high from the start I will bide my time and wait, but wondering if it’s worth securing a reasonable economy fare from the outset and hoping to upgrade from there.
