Hi – looking to go to Nashville in May for 6 days with other half – any hotels to recommend? Happy with a Hilton/Sheraton but wanted to get thoughts – thanks so much
We enjoyed the Virgin Hotel in Nashville – good location, friendly service and comfortable rooms.
My daughter drove (solo trip) from Nashville to New Orleans last year. All ground arrangements were through Audley Travel who are highly recommended. She stayed in the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel for 3 nights in Nashville and found it very convenient for using local transport, dining, venues and tours. No complaints about the hotel at all. Sorry nothing else to compare in Nashville as she moved on after that to Memphis, Vicksburg, Natchez, Vacherie and New Orleans.
Have a look at Audley Travel. Very good recommendations without being pushy.
Off topic I know, this is worth checking out and easier to get tickets for when compared with the Bluebird Cafe.
Music city, great to walk around just be aware if you are too close to the centre in terms of a hotel the music is quite loud- depends on what you want from a hotel. Margaritaville looked interesting… Hilton is fine, BW was ok too, all expensive and you shouldn’t be spending too much time in the room hopefully. Recommend the rock and roll hall of fame
Do you mean the Country Music Hall of Fame? Also worth visiting The Grand Ole Opry.
+1 for Loews Vanderbilt.

Yes sorry, did Cleveland and Nashville last year at the same time and mixing the two museums up!
Thanks all – Loews not on the BA Holidays list – may go with Grand Hyatt
Great day out suggestions as well
Our budget last May wouldn’t stretch to a hotel within walking distance of the strip. So we used Sonder Dovetail Apartments Downtown at 814 Church Street
here
Since all we needed was a safe and comfortable place to sleep, it worked well for us. 10 minute walk to Broadway.
@nico67 not sure if you have already booked, but can thoroughly recommend The Conrad. It’s about 30 minute walk from the bottom of Broadway. Incredible benefits by booking with Virtuoso agent which stacked with Hilton Gold benefits. Booked Balcony two queen, got upgraded to Corner King suite. Daily breakfast credit was $90. Hilton F&B credit was $50 per day plus Virtuoso $100 credit over the stay.
Agree with Strickers, listening room cafe is worth checking out.
If going to the Grand Ole Opry, public bus is $2.75 to be shopping mall. Venue is directly behind the mall. Gaylord Opry Resort worth a visit for the atrium.
Hyatt Centric Downtown. Walking distance to Broadway and the all points of interest around there, but not so close as to being annoying and loud. Good breakfast.
Booked via Emyr, which got us a guaranteed room upgrade, breakfast, $50 f&b credit plus early check-in/late checkout (subject to availability etc).
