    Hey!

Quick one – if I was to put £1 of a £2400 holiday on my amex – would the insurance/ and or section 75 cover me?

Section 75 is £100 i think. Amex may vary

The purchase price needs to be between £100 and £30k, but you should be able to put any amount through a credit card to get the protection according to MSE:

@Dann – the insurance and s75 are two very different things that work very differently. For the insurance, if you are asking about a product like the Amex Platinum cover which requires the use of an Amex for certain big sections, then paying just £1 won’t work. For s75 it should in theory, but if you really were to push it by only paying £1 of £2400, I wouldn’t fancy your chances of a successful claim.

If the holiday is an actual package holiday or linked travel arrangement, that provides you with greater legal protections than a flight booking to which you have independently added other elements.

One might be able to answer the question more accurately if you specified what aspect of the holiday you are wanting to make sure is covered by either travel insurance or chargeback/s75.

How are you paying the remaining £2399?
