Anyone hit the 10k Metal limit yet?
- This topic was modified 56 years, 2 months ago by .
I have not received any official email about it: what is that limit and its impact please?
@rams Yes, and I got shut down.
Was it NS&I or something else? I wonder where they draw the line. I had thought they would just charge you for fronted rather than shut you down

I just replied to this, and it went to Capcha validation, and then didn’t post…. I was also asking what you did to get shutdown, as like Ram I thought you could continue above £10k albeit with a fee…
Bonds and credit cards, was told told that Curve is for “day to day spend” and was directed to fair use policy.
I’m going to be pushing my limit, but that’s thanks to HMRC, not NS&I or card repayments (although I do a few grand a month on the latter — no recycling). Should I be concerned? Loosing points on HMRC spend would be a big blow to my points accrual… paying cards off with other cards is nice, but not so important to me.

also, has anyone worked out how to track the 10k? there’s no progress bar in the app…
I noticed they dont give you a progress bar, maybe they just hope you go over!
Curve have confirmed to me that there is no way for a customer to track their £10k spend.
I can’t believe that they would charge people for something which they cannot monitor – surely the FOS would take a dim view of this….
I presume (dangerous) that Curve can monitor this internally.Bonds and credit cards, was told told that Curve is for “day to day spend” and was directed to fair use policy.
Please use our card to circumvent the rules (like the NS&I FOI request) but don’t. Oh, and we will advertise how our product is designed to get around those rules but we will enforce the rules if we feel like it cos you’re costing us money, especially if you’re on a personal card.
They’re absolutely awful.

Really? They advertise usage, not abuse. There’s a difference between the two.

Who are you kidding? They advertise loopholes and their business model is based on MS.
