    Want to get a new contract.
    Does anyone know who takes amex and I can do an Octopus and pay a large upfront amount then small Direct Debit pleae?

    With broadband you are usually paying a monthly bill for a given amount, albeit normally the same each month. It’s not like the typical utility variable direct debit arrangement.

    Three certainly work that way and accept one off payments with Amex. If your account is in credit they simply deduct the bill amount from the credit and take nothing from the DD.

    Switched to BT (shown as EE once connected) earlier this year with TCB and additional £50 in giftcard and all that. It accepts Paypal which I then paid 12 months upfront. The contract is for 24 months though which may not be for everyone.
