Looking to book Barcelo Santa Catalina in Las Palmas. Not a chain I’ve really used before. Anyone have any discount codes, status match info etc for their loyalty program? TIA

Sign up to the program. They send out copious emails, often with discount codes. I unsubscribed as I got fed up with how many there were.

My experience the same as Peter K.

I found that particular Hotel by the way can be good value but really does badly in a lot of areas and I wouldn’t recommend. Popular with the locals but feels a lot like it probably just keeps a reputation earned in a long ago heyday.

Made two bookings yesterday and the code “4YEARMYB” worked for both.

    Thanks all – good advice.

Niall – thanks for your feedback on the hotel. Where would you recommend? It’s for my wife & I for 4 nights at the end of March. Hoping for a blend of a city break and some time by a pool in a 4/5* property. Thanks

Big fan of barcelo for basic but honest family holidays. You can stack offers such as quidco ,plus a discount code AND a membership discount

Looking at the Barcelo Mexico City.
Looks like amazing value for a suite with lounge access.

I see that there is a 5% saving when using the Barcelo app.
This stacks with the current promo code of A25UKI10 for 10% off the base rate (pre taxes & charges).
Alternatively there is a TCB 6.5% cashback offer, but I’d rather have the guaranteed 5% discount from the app.

After reading the previous comment, I am unable to find a membership discount and not willing to risk trying to use the promo code alongside a cashback site.
Ultimately, paying under £130pn b&b in May half-term for the best category of room (bar the Presidential Suite) is absolutely fine, but just checking if there is anything I’ve missed.

EDIT: I’ve signed up to the loyalty scheme, but not received any offers. Perhaps they no longer stack?

    Thanks.

The website is genuinely one of the most frustrating i’ve had the pleasure of using , even BA puts it to shame.

Despite this we usually make a booking each summer as there are very few options for where we like to visit. For this on our last visit in August we had 20% off drinks and some welcome drinks in the room.

My recent booking had 3 discounts applied, the 5% app, 10% from my membership status and the 10% promo live at the time. It’s not until the last stage of checkout where you can see the final price and even then you have to click something like ‘more detail’ where it shows the amounts taken off for each separate discount.

You should get a 5% status discount for signing up.

Thanks, but I see in the app that the status discount applies after the first stay.
Still, I’m happy with the price as is.
Seems to be a well reviewed hotel.
